Soaping is complete for the upcoming Salt Spring Island Fall Fair (Sept 6&7)! I've made beach soaps, cat soaps, all natural soaps and Vegan Olive Oil soaps in an array of colours.
I do still make all of my own candles, melts, tealights and bath bombs but this past month has been dedicated to soap making as it takes soap 4-6 weeks to cure to perfection. I have made all of my soaps to factor in that 6 week window before being offered for purchase at the Fall Fair. So not only can you come and see me to stock up with some wonderful 100% soy candles, but you can also check out my Goatsmilk soaps and my creative Vegan Olive Oil soaps. It has certainly stepped up my soap making skills and I'm looking forward to using August to make more Fall/Holiday soap designs to delight your senses and your skin! The launch online of my Fall Fair soaps will be September 13th and expect another soaping launch online in October (stay tuned for the announcement of my exact launch date)!
And then of course, I'm working on what I can get together for glass items that I have made with my stained glass and fusing skills. I'm not sure exactly what I will have ready to go for the Fall Fair but if not for the Fall Fair, I do plan to have some ready for online launches in the Fall. The glass making is taking a good share of time and progressing at it's own pace. My hope for the Fall Fair is that I can put together a beach themed soap, candle & glass item.
With this in mind, I am happy to announce that at the Fall Fair, I will be giving away a Salt Spring Hartmont gift basket filled with candle goodies and soaps that I have made. The value will be over $100 so well worth the trip to the Fair when you win! I have to say this Fall Fair (my first technically) is filled with all the old time fair attractions like horses (yay), chickens, etc, pets, baking, canning, fiber art, soaping, etc along with old time games/races for the family. This is the one time that I can get behind dialing back the world 80 years. I think it will be alot of fun to attend and just a great way to spend the day or the weekend on Salt Spring Island!
Looking forward to seeing you in September but if you can't make it here, I always appreciate your support online! Remember, the cool days of September are coming and lighting up those earlier nights with candles is yet another old time tradition that I 1000% support.
Sending all of my love!
