Happy April/Moving Anniversary!
It's hard to believe but it will be 3 years mid April since I made the BIG move to Salt Spring Island! Time sure does fly by! I'm doing everything I can to reach my goals here but I have to report that I am still on a holding pattern for my glass kiln to arrive (it's supposed to arrive some time in May) and still on a holding pattern to see if a studio space will be announced this year for my 'lil candle company. I know... the waiting is so hard to do... especially when it seems like I've been waiting for such a long time already. But here I am. Waiting.
And learning.
I had a successful launch of my New Spring Soap line in March and have already started making for some Summer soap designs. It's kind of fun doing little launches like this and I hope that you are enjoying the new product photos and products right along with me. There are still some soaps left if you are looking to stock up or top up a candle order to qualify for the free shipping.
I've had to crack out the youtube videos on CAD designing as I'm getting ready to make some really unique soaps for Fall and Christmas time. I am designing my own extruder and divider disks as well as stamps for my soaps for Summer and Fall/Christmas. It is my busiest time of year and I want to have a healthy supply of soaps for everyone this holiday sesason instead of selling out early again. Yes, selling out feels good but it also means that some people aren't getting what they want too, and that's not great.
Speaking of making soap, I am happy to announce that I will be at Ruckle Farm Days on May 3rd, here on Salt Spring Island. This will be a great time to come and see me in action as I do my annual soap making demo for you to enjoy again. I believe this is year 3 of me doing the Farm Days soap demo and it is a great way to see soap being made, ask questions and learn a few of the nuances of how it's done. I'll have some of my All Natural Soaps and pretty coloured soaps for sale there as well. Sometimes it's nice to watch it being made but then just save the time and energy and cost of supplies and pick up a few bars that I've already made for you.
To summarize.... still waiting on kiln to make pretty glass containers for candles and night lights.
... maybe a possible new studio space this Summer?
... come find me at Ruckle Farm Days
AND.,... as always, thank you so very much for your continued online support. It's crazy times as retail takes a hit every time it turns around with rising costs of everything. I am good, thanks to your support! Every small business appreciates your support during these times!
Until next month, sending all of my love,
Lana
