Happy New Year and it's the Year of the Horse (well when Lunar New Years hits in February)!
I'm actually excited to see what the year will bring. I have already started creating and planning for 2026 and it is alot of fun doing some really challenging creations. It does take time and effort though so thank you for being patient as I slowly morph my way of creating. Sometimes I've brought back some of my original ways of coloring candles and sometimes I've created even better products with new suppliers such as wood wicks. What I have done over the years is focus the majority of my supply purchases to Canadian suppliers. It has been a pleasure to make the switch to buying local as much as possible and definitely to buy Canadian.
Today I am making soap and delighted to be making and testing an all new natural soap made with Tumeric. Curcumin (the active compound in tumeric) has anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties while also helping to soothe skin while promoting exfoliation. I think it will be a delightful addition to my most popular, All Natural Soap selection. And I am the perfect tester as my skin is getting much more sensitive and prone to redness and swelling as I age. I'll keep you posted on my findings on this soap. It takes 4-6 weeks to cure so expect to hear about my results in March or April. As you can see, making new products does take time and testing effort. From candles to glass to soap, it all is a time consuming effort when developing new items. It is one that I do enjoy though.
Update on glass making - Glass fusing is coming along (at a snails pace) but fortunately my stained glass skills are buoying me along as I have done stain glass work since before my candle making days. Gosh, I don't want to think about how long that has been. Um? At least 25 years? I'm enjoying making smaller stained glass items that can be converted into night lights or fridge magnets of the cutest design. You are starting to see those designs on my Instagram and Facebook feeds.
I am hoping to be able to launch a few of my glass items with my Spring launch of NEW soaps which will also be available in limited quantities. Fear not, my candles are available year round as are my All Natural soaps so you don't have to wait on launches to shop. But, I am hoping that the addition of launches to my social media and website will give you all reason to follow along and eagerly anticipate picking up some One of a Kind items that I have created. It's always fun to wait for the surprises!

Even though my business is going through alot of changes, your continued support tells me that I am moving in the right direction.
