February has arrived and so have my NEW glasses!

Lana McCullough

And February is upon us, with a sadness and uncertainty that just feels heavy.  There is no other description.  I am out here lighting candles to bring back the feelings of peace.  We can't hide our heads in the sand and pretend that anything is the same and nothing will effect us because it already has in so many ways.  I ache for everyone.  Those who have lost or are losing their livelihoods, those much worse off who have lost their loved ones and those who are just suffering to get through each day.  It's alot of weighted feelings and I for one, cannot pretend that the times are normal.   More than ever, please live your life with kindness in your heart and in your actions.

And, as always, I continue to be grateful for your support of my small business.  I am filling orders online as received but still like to stick to my shipping on Saturdays as that saves me alot of driving into town to ship every second day.  Thank you so much!  It means the world to me!  I continue to not post as much on social media and look forward to the day that I feel inspired to share more with you.  So with that caveat, I am delighted to announce that I have NEW GLASSES.

I know it's small (though the glasses aren't) but I have to celebrate something so that was the big new addition to my life this past month.  I actually have my larger Prue Leith style glasses (seen in the photo above) for when I'm working on making (candles, glass, soaps, baking etc) and I have a smaller pair that is more multi coloured for when I'm out and about.  The logic was the larger pair would also double as protective wear and give me more close up lens for detail work and the smaller pair would be more distance orient assisted with only a small portion dedicated to close up reading assistance.  But yep, I am now a wearer of glasses.  I can confirm that it does not make me smarter.  But, on a side note, I have a much cleaner house as I can actually see the dirt now. lol

On my creative front, new products are being made and I'm looking forward to a Spring launch to bring a new selection of soaps and glass to you, along with my already well rounded selection of candles, tealights and melts.  The Salt Spring Island Fall Fair has announced their theme this year and it's Something to Crow About which is basically roosters.   What on earth am I supposed to do with that?  A chicken scented candle or soap?  It's craziness.  Let me know if you have any exceptional ideas.   I'm still working on it.

Looking forward to sending more exciting and happy news next month.  Sending my love!

Lana
