Starting back!

Lana McCullough

This was the week that we opened our shop at The Johnston Terminal @ The Forks.  It is normal business hours 10 am - 6 pm with the exception of a soft close on Friday which basically means that we are open 10 am - 9 pm but if noone has been in the shop from 7-8 pm then we will close at 8 pm instead of 9.  I know this is kind of loosey goosey but during this time, until things settle more, it makes the most sense.  If you are planning on coming down on Friday night to shop, please call the shop at 204-885-7595 and let whomever is here, know that you are on your way and we will stay open for you.

Now the building is under strict regulations as Winnipeg slowly opens up and gets the economy rolling again.  That means only one door is open into the building.  It is the West door of the building overlooking where the small skating rink is (in the Winter) near the Old Spaghetti Factory.  That is our only access at this time.

In our shop we also have one door open so it is the larger one in the center of the mall.  We have hand sanitizer at the door as well as 3 different sizes of disposable gloves if customers or staff wish to use them.  We maintain social distancing and ask clientele to limit their visit as in come in, get what you need and then keep on going with your day.  If you are feeling unwell or have been travelling outside of the province in the last 14 days, please stay home and order online.  If you are not quite comfortable going out into public just yet, we of course offer online services and also offer curb side pick up.  For curbside pick up, please call 204-885-7595, place your order and we will bring it out to you when you arrive at the Forks.

No product is being poured in the Winnipeg shop for now as staffs main priority at this point is to be cleaning products, shelves and anything in the shop that can take on dust, germs and viruses.  We want to stay healthy and we want you to stay healthy.  We mostly have two staff on at all times so that we can take breaks often to wash our hands (to stop the spread) and offer efficient curbside pick up without having to close the shop.   The extra staff also help maintain the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing within the shop when things get busier.  Right now, that's really not an issue.

We are doing everything we can to make our clientele comfortable....and if online shopping is where you are most comfortable, then know that the Cookie 'O Fun is a big success and still going strong.

Bottom line is that I appreciate the support and kind words and love sooooo much!  Every sale, however it happens, is just a moment of sheer joy and knowledge that this will all work out.  I've had people this week say, "We get it...  you appreciate us."  and I just say, "I'm not sure that you do?  This isn't lip service.  This is unabated heartfelt gratefulness at the maximum.....if I had to put it into words."  I would hug you all if I could.  In the meantime, know that I genuinely appreciate all of your support.  Every note, Instagram share, every message that I have received throughout this and continuing forward is not taken for granted.  Love to you all!

Lana
