Hi everyone and Happy May!
As some may have already figured out, I am not doing the local Salt Spring Island Farmer's Market this year. I have opted to take the summer to learn some new glass making skills (to be added to my line later in the Summer) which requires some class time at studios on Vancouver Island and the mainland. Those are usually on a Saturday so I have allotted my Saturdays to learning instead of in person selling (most of this year anyways). I have dug out my stained glass equipment for making some items from small to large. I do love my projects!! I am challenging myself though with learning how to fuse glass and look forward to picking up some new skills in that realm that can be used along with tealights as well as just straight up being pieces of art on their own.
I do miss the hub bub and planning that goes into participating at the Saturday market but I honestly do not miss the weekly grind of setting up and taking down a market booth. Especially on those windy days! If you know, you know. I did have someone mention that I should be participating at the Fall Fair as they do have selling booths as well as participation in making categories while I am there. It has been on my "to do" list since arriving here, so I think this year will be my "to do" time for the Salt Spring Fall Fair. I will keep you posted when I am accepted for this as entries aren't taken until June but that is my intention this year for markets. So for all my local customers, or those nearby on Vancouver Island and the mainland that are looking for an excuse to come and see me on Salt Spring Island, this would be it! I will be excited to get out and enjoy the Fall Fair Sept 6th and 7th, 2025! The added bonus of deciding to participate in the Fall Fair will be new and creative soap designs (that I will also enter into their soap category for judging) that I can also add onto my webpage. I'll also be stocking my webpage bath bomb category with more products as well, as I create for the event. As this will be my only in person selling this year, I will be treating it like a Christmas show and bringing Fall and Winter designs as well. It should be alot of fun!
In the meantime, thank you so very much for keeping me busy fulfilling your online orders! You know that I always appreciate the support but it never hurts to keep telling you how much I appreciate your kindness and support in selecting my products to bring into your home. You are the BEST!
Watch to see postings online as I restock (along with create new items) on my Facebook group and Instagram. It's going to be a fun Summer! Sending all of my love until next time!
